Report: Mauricio Pochettino on the shortlist of two European giants

Former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is said to be on the radar of two of Italy’s biggest clubs despite his ambition to return to the Premier League.

According to a report by The Telegraph, the Argentine is on the managerial shortlist of both Inter Milan and Juventus.

The Sun also claim that Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund have his name in mind should they look to change their manager anytime soon.

It is believed Juve and Inter have the 48-year-old right at the top of their shortlist should they Antonio Conte or Maurizio Sarri leave this summer.

Antonio Conte’s second half of the season at Inter has been far from perfect, however, they currently only find themselves six points behind leaders, Juventus (BBC).

Newcastle United have also been linked with the former Spurs man should their potential Saudi-based takeover go through, but the reported takeover appears to have gone quiet.

I thought we would have seen Poch return to football by now. However, by the reports coming out it seems he will have some very good options available when he decides it is time to make his return to management. He has said he would like to remain in England, however, if the likes of Juve are approaching him then it would be hard to turn down.
