Report: Midfielder holds talks with Levy to finalise transfer

Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen has met with Daniel Levy to reiterate that he would like to join Inter Milan this month.

According to Sky in Italy, the Danish international is keen on joining Antonio Conte’s side and met with the Spurs chairman hoping to finalise the transfer.

The report suggests that Inter made a renewed £11m plus bonuses offer for the Denmark international on Monday, but Spurs are holding out for their £17m valuation.

The 27-year-old’s contract with Spurs runs out at the end of the season and he has been in and out of the team so far this campaign.

His form has drawn a lot of criticism from Spurs fans this season but Inter might give the midfielder an opportunity to have a fresh start.

Jose Mourinho has so far denied that any deal has been agreed between the two clubs (Football.London) with Eriksen coming on as a second-half substitute in the game against Norwich on Wednesday.

Sky in Italy claim that the former Ajax man’s agent Martin Schoots will soon meet with Levy to finalise the agreement.

Spurs Web Opinion

I predicted that this transfer saga would drag on until deadline day and it looks like that is going to happen. Inter would want to pay as little as possible and will know that Spurs have to sell this month. My guess is he will end up going for closer to £11m than £17m.
