Report: Midfielder linked with Spurs has heart set on move to Inter Milan

According to FC Inter News, rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target Nahitan Nandez has his heart set on a move to Inter Milan after already agreeing terms with the Serie A champions.

The speculation linking Spurs with Nandez has gone into hyperdrive over the past few days, with the North London club allegedly ready to pay €30m (£25.6m) for the Cagliari star.

Some sources have suggested that the Uruguay international has put in a transfer request and is keen on completing a move to Tottenham.

However, FC Inter News have now contradicted that claim, claiming instead that the Nerrazuri are still at the front of the queue for Nandez’s signature.

The report explains that the 25-year-old has already agreed a contract worth around €3m (£2.5m) per season with the Serie A champions.

It is asserted that the midfielder has already ‘promised himself’ to the Nerrazuri and is not thinking about any alternatives.

Tottenham have allegedly only reached out to Cagliari to enquire about the Nandez’s availability but are yet to contract the player’s entourage.

The report suggests that Cagliari might have leaked the reports about an impending bid from Tottenham in order to force Inter into making a credible offer for the midfielder.

Spurs Web Opinion

Perhaps Tottenham are looking to find buyers for Sissoko and Winks before bringing in another central midfielder. It will not be easy to find clubs who are willing to match Sissoko’s salary but one would have thought that we would have had plenty of suitors for Winks given his age and the fact that he is homegrown.
