AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie is reportedly ‘overwhelmed’ by Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in him.

JuveLive state that Fabio Paratici has already ‘moved eagerly’ for the 24-year-old. The managing director of football for Spurs has strong links to the Italian market and loves to sniff out players on the cheap so this potential deal will not come as a surprise to many.

The signing may not be one that requires a big transfer fee given that the midfielder’s contract at the San Siro expires at the end of this season. Spurs are said to be willing to satisfy the needs of both AC Milan and Kessie with regards to a January move.

Tottenham’s strong interest has even reportedly taken Juventus ‘out of the game’ for Kessie’s signature as Spurs may leap ahead of the competition due to their willingness to pay a fee in January.

SpursWeb Opinion

Kessie on a free almost seems too good to be true for Spurs. Surely, at some point, every top team in Europe will be in the race. In the meantime, everyone around N17 will be whispering it quietly until January at least.

  1. It seems like another cheap skate deal so levy can sell on at profit to challenge and win something club need quality and experience missed out on ings and others were chasing unknown foriegners on cheap were just the same as always with levy talk about good players and nothing comes of it.theyve known the problem positions and not addressed them properly.one big problem at spurs is levy and owners what good is a super stadium without a proper team.its like a lovely house you buy but can afford to furnish other than use cardboard boxes.were still a mess got a manager who’s not good enough as no real quality and experience will work for levy they know what players they want and levy wouldn’t deliver nuno has no chance I doubt very much if he’s heard of the players brought in let alone see them play and targeted them.a real mess at club
