Report: Midfielder Paratici allegedly contacted is now available on a free transfer

Rumoured Tottenham target Corentin Tolisso will be departing Bayern Munich when his contract with the club runs out at the end of this month, the Bundesliga club have now confirmed.

Tolisso has spent five successful seasons at Bayern since moving to the Allianz Arena from Lyon back in 2017.

The midfielder fell down Julian Nagelsmann’s pecking order this season, having made just 15 league appearances, coming on as a substitute for the majority of them (Transfermarkt).

CalcioMercato previously reported that Tottenham’s managing director of football Fabio Paratici had made contact with the 27-year-old’s entourage over a potential move to North London this summer.

The report added that Atletico Madrid were also keen on snapping up the French international but other publications suggested Bayern were keen on tying the midfielder down to a new contract (Kicker).

However, Tolisso is now set to be available on a free transfer after Bayern confirmed that he would be parting ways with the club.

Spurs Web Opinion

Tolisso could be a smart acquisition as a squad player. He would be quite decent in the middle of the park in Conte’s set-up, given that he is good at all phases of play.

However, one would think that the Frenchman would want a guarantee of regular game time at his next club, and I doubt if he will get that from Spurs.
