Report: Midfielder prefers the idea of joining Tottenham over Man United

90 min have revealed that even though Manchester United are showing keen interest in Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, the Leicester City star would prefer to join Tottenham Hotspur instead.

Dewsbury-Hall has been outstanding in the Championship this season, having scored 10 goals and provided 12 assists in the league so far, which are ridiculous numbers for a centre midfielder.

90 min say that the 25-year-old was previously on Fabio Paratici’s radar and although Tottenham do not have an active interest in him, they could decide to make a move for the player if they miss out on Conor Gallagher.

The report claims that Man Utd are keen on snapping up the Englishman, having already made an enquiry to the Leicester star’s camp, while Brighton, who failed with a £20m bid for the midfielder in January, are still on his trail.

Dewsbury-Hall would prefer a Tottenham move

However, it is explained that Dewsbury-Hall’s preference would be to move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as he is good friends with James Maddison.

The Spurs man is alleged to have spoken in glowing terms to his former teammate about life at the North London side under Ange Postecoglou.

Finally, the publication adds that while the Foxes demanded £45m for the midfielder in January, they might have to sell him for a cut-price fee in the summer if they fail to win promotion to the top flight.

Spurs Web Opinion

Dewsbury-Hall would fit the profile of midfielder Spurs are after, being technically strong, having a good engine and being a homegrown player.

However, it does appear as if Tottenham might have settled on Morgan Gibbs-White as their main alternative to Conor Gallagher, particularly given Nottingham Forest’s financial predicament.
