Report: Midfielder tells Premier League rival he wants to play for Tottenham

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has reportedly informed Everton that he has his heart set on a move to Tottenham Hotspur.

The Liverpool Echo claim that the Toffees have not had a £25million accepted by Southampton for the former Bayern Munich player despite making their intentions clear of their eagerness to bring him to Goodison Park.

Daily Echo reported last night that the Dane had already visited Everton’s training ground after an offer of £25million had been accepted by the south coast outfit.

However, the report claims that Hojbjerg has told Everton on two separate occasions that h wants a switch to North London and the opportunity to play under Jose Mourinho.

Everton were said to have initially not been put off by Hojbjerg’s Tottenham aspirations and value the player at around £14million.

Hojbjerg has just twelve months to run on his current contract at St Mary’s and has previously labelled Spurs as a big club when asked about the speculation by the Danish media (Viaplay and BT).
