Report: Midfielder Tottenham are apparently keen on has an Arsenal tattoo

It has emerged that Lecce star Morten Hjulmand, who is rumoured to be on Tottenham’s wishlist, has a tattoo of the club’s North London rivals, Arsenal.

Hjulmand has developed impressively since his switch to Lecce 18 months ago, with the midfielder seamlessly making the step up to the Italian top flight on the back of the club’s promotion from Serie B last season.

The 23-year-old’s solid displays in the middle of the park this season have reportedly caught the attention of several clubs, including Spurs, with Calciomercato reporting a couple of days ago that the North London club have sent scouts to Stadio Via del Mare to run the rule over the Dane.

The report added that Hjulmand is also on the radars of AS Roma, Napoli and Borussia Dortmund ahead of the summer transfer window.

However, it turns out that the midfielder was a big Arsenal fan growing up, with TuttoMercatoWeb revealing that the player has a Gunners tattoo on his right shoulder.

The same information has also been confirmed by Gazzetta journalist Francesco Calvi, who took to social media after interviewing Hjulmand to reveal that he has a tattoo of Arsenal’s crest.

Spurs Web Opinion

If Tottenham are successful in their pursuit of Hjulmand, the midfielder certainly will not be the first player who supported Arsenal to play for Spurs.

There are even recent examples like Matt Doherty and Dejan Kulusevksi who have one the same.

However, having an Arsenal tattoo is perhaps a step too far and the midfielder might have to get it removed if he signs for the Lilywhites.
