Report: MLS club make £13m offer for attacker on Tottenham’s radar

According to a report from Le10Sport, Lille have received an offer from an unnamed MLS club for rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target Jonathan Bamba.

Bamba looked destined to make a big move just a few months ago but the Lille attacker did not have the best of ends to the campaign from an individual standpoint.

Although the 25-year-old managed six goals and eleven assists in Ligue 1 last season, he failed to score a single goal after January 17th.

This has led to some suggestions in the French press that the interest in the forward could have cooled ahead of this summer but the Lille winger is reportedly one of the names being eyed by Tottenham as a potential replacement for Gareth Bale.

Le10Sport have now claimed Lille have received an offer of €15m (£12.8m) from the United States for the pacy wide man.

However, the report explains that Bamba is not expected to make the move as he has other aspirations than to play in the MLS.

Spurs Web Opinion

If Bale does not return next season, we do need to invest in the forward areas as we need another couple of players to share the load around with Kane and Son. While Lucas looked promising at the time in parts, he has not delivered consistently for a whole campaign while Bergwijn has now shown enough in a Spurs shirt so far.
