According to a report from Gazzetta Italia, Jose Mourinho could look to raid Tottenham Hotspur for Hugo Lloris this summer.
There is a major question mark over Lloris’ future, with the goalkeeper having just 12 months left on his contract.
While some reports have claimed that the Frenchman could be set for a return to Ligue 1 this summer, others have indicated that he is likely to pen a contract extension with Spurs after holding positive talks over his future with chairman Daniel Levy.
When asked about the speculation linking Lloris with a move to Roma, Fabrizio Romano said earlier this week that the Tottenham captain’s future is unlikely to be decided before the club appoint a new manager.
However, Gazzetta Italia have now claimed that Mourinho is in favour of a reunion with the 34-year-old in the Italian capital as Roma hunt for a new number one.
It is explained that while Rui Patricio is the Serie A club’s number one target as things stand, Lloris is also being explored as an alternative.
It is asserted that the Tottenham star could be available for a fee of just around €7m-€8m (£6m-£7m) due to his contract situation.
