AS Roma Live have revealed that Roma are eyeing a move for Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita, who is rumoured to be a target for Tottenham.
90 min reported earlier this week that Keita could leave Liverpool when his contract runs out in the summer, with the midfielder’s representatives already said to be fielding enquiries.
The report claimed that Spurs are of the interested clubs, with the Lilywhites set to be contemplating offering the 27-year-old a contract. It was explained that Keita was also sought after by many Bundesliga clubs and that a return to RB Leipzig was on the cards for the midfielder.
If AS Roma Live’s latest update is to be believed, Spurs could also face competition from the Serie A for the Liverpool star.
The publication claims that the Giallorossi want to add reinforcements to their midfield and view Keita as a ‘real market opportunity’ owing to his contract situation.
However, it is explained that signing the Guinea international will prove complicated for Roma since the player currently earns €7.3m (£6.4m) per year.
Spurs Web Opinion
While Conte will likely want reinforcements in midfield, I do not think Keita will be anywhere near the top of the Italian’s wishlist for next summer. I fully expect the Liverpool star to either return to Germany or to move to the Serie A at the end of the season.
