Report: Mourinho has informed Spurs star that he is no longer part of his plans

According to Caracol Radio, Jose Mourinho has erased Davinson Sanchez from his plans, with the defender potentially set to leave Tottenham in next month’s transfer window.

Sanchez has not played a single minute in the Premier League for more than two months, with most of his minutes coming in the Europa League this season (transfermarkt.com).

The Colombian has seemingly fallen below summer signing Joe Rodon in the pecking order, with Mourinho preferring to select the Welshman over Sanchez against Chelsea last month when Toby Alderweireld was out with an injury.

The former Ajax centre-back was not even named on the bench for Tottenham’s clash against Leicester City on Sunday despite Mourinho being able to name nine substitutes.

Multiple reports have claimed that the 24-year-old is set to leave the club next month, with Everton (Don Balon via TEAMtalk) and AC Milan (The Sun) both suggested as potential destinations for the defender.

Caracol Radio reveals that Mourinho has made it clear to Sanchez that he is not part of his plans. They also reveal that the centre-back’s value has dropped by around €20m (£18m) compared to the summer of 2019, due to his lack of sufficient game time.

Spurs Web Opinion

The fact that neither Dele Alli nor Davinson Sanchez made the bench on Sunday despite Mourinho being able to name nine substitutes suggests that both players now have an impossible task to force their way back into the team. I would not be surprised if the club sold one or even both in January to fund moves for their targets.
