Report: Mourinho helps to convince Spurs star to remain in North London

Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy decided to part company with Mauricio Pochettino as head coach at the end of November.

The Argentine had suffered a poor start to the new campaign and found himself replaced within twelve hours of the announcement of his departure by Jose Mourinho.

The 56-year-old has helped the club to start to climb the Premier League table but is also helping to play his part off the field.

The Daily Star report that Mourinho has helped Harry Kane to see that his future should remain in North London.

The report claims that the star striker had told close friends that he was unhappy at the club with officials becoming fearful that he was set to ask to leave.

Kane is said to be impressed by how Mourinho has helped to improve the atmosphere at the club and bring his mentality of being a serial winner to the Champions League finalists.

The 26-year-old has previously said that he is happy to remain at the club as long as they show ambition and compete at the top of the table (talkSPORT).
