Report: Mourinho informs Levy to sell midfielder even at cut-price

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Jose Mourinho is said to have told Daniel Levy to offload Luke Amos this summer.

The Northern Echo claim that Amos is deemed as surplus to requirements in North London and could leave for a cut-price fee.

The report claims that Tottenham were looking for around £1.5million last summer but are now prepared to accept half of that amount with the midfielder having just a year to run on his current contract.

The 23-year-old spent last season on loan at QPR, where he made 35 appearances in all competition (transfermarkt) and are hoping to have the upper hand on Middlesbrough, who are also keen on his services.

Boro are already said to have held talks with Tottenham over a permanent deal and are prepared to meet the North Londoners six-figure valuation but are waiting to see whether the lure of QPR will see Neil Warnock’s side encourage him to remain in the capital.
