Report: Mourinho is eyeing shock reunion with Spurs star – Levy wants £25m

According to CalcioMeracto, Tanguy Ndombele could reunite with former Spurs boss Jose Mourinho at AS Roma.

Mourinho and Ndombele did not have the best of relationships during the start of the Portuguese coach’s reign at Tottenham. However, the midfielder won Mourinho over and eventually became a regular in the starting lineup last season.

Ndombele has been handed just two starts since Antonio Conte took over at Spurs and the Italian did not have particularly complimentary words to say about the Frenchman last week when asked about the former Lyon man’s role.

According to reports, Spurs are open to cashing on Ndombele should they receive a suitable offer this month.

CaclioMercato have now revealed that Mourinho is keen on strengthening his midfield department in Rome and is seriously considering an approach for the Spurs midfielder.

The report asserts that Tottenham value Ndombele at just around €30m (£25.2m).

It is suggested that Serie A club could look to sign the French international on loan this month with an option to buy him permanently in the summer.

Spurs Web Opinion

I am convinced that Daniel Levy will not be willing to let Ndombele go for as little as £25m. Spurs would likely want at least around £35m for the midfielder.

I would not be surprised if clubs were willing to pay that amount as the Frenchman’s talent has never been in doubt. Unfortunately, it does not seem like he is going to fulfil his potential at Spurs.
