Report: Mourinho looks to use agent friend to secure deal for PL star striker

ESPN recently reported that Tottenham were interested in a deal for Wolves striker, Raul Jiminez, after the Mexican has enjoyed his best season in English football.

Jiminez now has 22 goals in 44 games for Wolves this season, following on from his 17 goals in the same number of fixtures last campaign (Wikipedia).

With Harry Kane seemingly picking up regular injuries each season and a lack of back-up striker within the Spurs squad, it is easy to see why they may want Jiminez.

In a new report from Soccer Link in France, it has been revealed that Spurs are still interested in the Premier League star.

The report goes on to claim that Jose Mourinho may contact his agent friend, Jorge Mendes, to assist in the acquisition of Jiminez from Wolves.

Mendes was the man who helped to bring the Mexican international to Wolves from Benfica back in 2018.

Spurs Web Opinion:

This report has no substance, if you ask me. Mourinho would not ask for help from Mendes, Mendes would likely not get involved, Wolves would never sell Jiminez at this time, and Spurs would not have the cash to buy him anyway.
