Report: Mourinho not convinced that midfielder is good enough for Spurs

According to a report by The Express, Jose Mourinho is not convinced that Ryan Fraser is good enough for Tottenham Hotspur.

There has been plenty of speculation over Fraser’s future over the last month with the midfielder backed to leave Bournemouth when his contract ends in the summer (Football Insider).

Recent reports indicate that Spurs are the favourites to land the 26-year-old when his contract with the Cherries runs out with Fraser himself said to be keen on a move to Tottenham (Mirror).

However, The Express claim that Mourinho has his doubts over the proposed move for the Scotland international.

It is suggested that although Fraser prefers a move to North London, the Spurs head coach is unsure if the winger is good enough to challenge for a place at a top-six side.

The report also claims that Crystal Palace are ready to move for the 26-year-old.

It is said that the Selhurst Park outfit will offer Fraser a contract and hope to convince him that he has a better chance of getting regular game time at Roy Hodgson’s side rather than in North London.

Spurs Web Opinion

While Fraser is not someone who is going to improve our starting eleven, he could certainly be a tidy squad player and offer us cover on the flanks. Perhaps, Jose has his eye on signing Willian, who we have also been heavily linked.
