Report: Mourinho personally contacts striker about possible move – Response revealed

Football Insider have reported that Jose Mourinho has already personally contacted Callum Wilson over a possible summer move to Tottenham Hotspur.

It is said that Tottenham are keen on bringing in a back-up striker to play behind Harry Kane this summer after their struggles last season during his injury spell.

Wilson is reportedly one of the club’s top targets and Mourinho has made an early move to gauge the feelings of the player this summer.

The Bournemouth man is said to be open to the idea of playing as a second-choice behind Harry Kane, especially due to the congested start to Tottenham’s season.

He is also reportedly keen on making a move straight back to the Premier League after the Cherries suffered relegation last season.

However, the Daily Mail recently reported that Bournemouth were determined not to sell Wilson this summer for anything below £30m.

Wilson scored nine goals in 39 games for Bournemouth last season and has 40 Premier League goals to his name in total (Wikipedia).
