BBC journalist, Nick Godwin, has claimed that Jose Mourinho revealed to the media outlet that he intended to give the Tottenham board an ultimatum this week.
This comes after Spurs were knocked out of the FA Cup last night after playing 120 gruelling minutes against Norwich City at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
After the game, Mourinho revealed that Dele Alli, Steven Bergwijn, and Lucas Moura all told him that they could not run any further, which led to their substitutions. The latter two even warned that they could pick up injuries if left out there (Football London).
Tottenham are scheduled to play Burnley in the Premier League this weekend, before taking on RB Leipzig in the Champions League just three days later. Both games are away from home.
Mourinho will apparently tell the board that they will have to choose one to focus on because the squad cannot cope with both at the moment.
Mourinho has also told @emma_saund on @BBCSport that He will tell the board that they have to choose to focus on either Saturday (Burnley away) or Tuesday (Leipzig away) but they can’t do both #thfc @BBCLondonSport
