Report: Mourinho’s agent offers player he also represents to Italian giants

Any hope which Tottenham Hotspur may have of bringing James Rodriguez to North London may have become even more complicated

Canal RCN claimed that 28-year-old is touted as a potential Christian Eriksen replacement after the Dane made the move to Inter Milan in January.

Calciomercato have reported that the Real Madrid midfielder is expected to leave the La Liga giants at the end of this season.

Rodriguez’s agent Jorge Mendes is said to have offered Juventus the opportunity to bring him to Italy which will make life more difficult for Spurs.

The Colombian midfielder has failed to live up to his billing at the Santiago Bernabeu and has only made 13 appearances in all competitions during what has been an injury-ravaged season (transfermarkt).

Opinion

It comes into question whether Spurs are actually keen on a move for Rodriguez considering the fact that head coach Jose Mourinho is also represented by Mendes (Daily Mail).
