Report: Multiple clubs around Europe ready to take Spurs man on loan

According to a report by Football.London, a number of clubs around Europe have enquired about signing Ryan Sessegnon on a loan deal.

Sessegnon failed to have the impact he would have hoped for during his first season at Spurs, with the youngster not getting a single appearance under his belt following the restart.

Reports initially indicated that the England Under-21 international was set for a more regular first-team role this season (Football Insider) but that seems to have changed following the arrival of Sergio Reguilon.

After Tottenham snapped up the Spanish international, it was revealed that they were now open to sending Sessegnon out on loan (Daily Mail).

Football.London has now confirmed that the Lilywhites are looking to arrange a season-long loan deal for the 20-year-old before the transfer window closes.

The report asserts that it is not just Premier League teams who have registered their interest in the former Fulham man but clubs around the continent are also said to be ready to take him on loan.

Even before the arrival of Reguilon, it did not seem likely that Sessegnon was going to get a lot of games under his belt. Now that we have snapped up the 23-year-old, I cannot see Sessegnon even starting Europa League matches if he stays at the club. A loan move to a Premier League side would be ideal for his development.
