Report: Nagelsmann open to Spurs talks – Levy has three alternatives in mind

The Telegraph have reported that Julian Nagelsmann is Tottenham’s top target for their vacant manager position following the mutual exit of Antonio Conte this week.

Nagelsmann experienced a parting of ways himself recently too, with Bayern Munich choosing to sack their young manager and replace him with Thomas Tuchel.

The German is now said to want to wait until the summer before making a decision on his future (Times), but Tottenham are already lurking.

Multiple reports have already stated that Daniel Levy and co are expected to make contact with Nagelsmann about taking over in North London (Evening Standard and Football Insider).

However, Levy also has three other prominent names on his shortlist in Brighton’s Roberto De Zerbi, Celtic’s Ange Postecoglou and Luis Enrique.

The Telegraph reported earlier this week that Nagelsmann had an affinity with Tottenham and even owned a replica shirt at one point.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Nagelsmann is quickly becoming the only name that Spurs fans want to hear in the summer.

I have a feeling that Pochettino would be in the job if both parties wanted that, seeing as though he is out of work.

So Nagelsmann is the only top-tier choice left.
