Tottenham Hotspur have made up to eight players available for sale during the current transfer window, according to The Times.
The report claims that Joe Hart, Serge Aurier, Toby Alderweireld, Davinson Sanchez, Eric Dier, Harry Winks, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Jack Clarke are all surplus to requirements as part of Fabio Paratici’s plans to overhaul the squad.
Paratici arrived from Juventus earlier this summer and has been tasked with managing and developing the North Londoners sporting operations (Spurs official).
Hart joined Tottenham on a two-year deal last summer and had become the understudy to Hugo Lloris.
Aurier has already spoken about his interest in leaving the club after admitting that he does not want to sign a new contract (L’Equipe), while Alderweireld is also said to be keen to depart (The Athletic).
Fabrizio Romano has described a move to Everton as a ‘possibility’ for Harry Winks (Twitch).
Tottenham need to clear the decks of the deadwood in order to raise funds for new transfer targets. Considering the likes of Hart, Aurier and Carter-Vickers are in the last year of their respective contracts, Paratici will hopefully be looking to offload them rather than risk the club missing out on much-needed revenue.
