Report names four clubs who may look to hire Conte if he leaves Spurs

The Times have named Inter Milan, AC Milan, AS Roma and Juventus as potential destinations for Antonio Conte should he leave Tottenham in the summer.

The losses against Sheffield United and Wolves have seen the speculation over Conte’s departure hit hyperdrive, with The Daily Mail revealing on Sunday there is now a ‘growing expectation’ that he will leave Spurs at the end of the season.

The report added that there is not a major appetite at Tottenham to trigger the one-year extension to his contract and that there is a sense behind the scenes at the club that it is best for all parties to go their separate ways ahead of next season.

The Times have now revealed that Conte is not likely to have any shortage of suitors in Italy if he decides to leave N17.

The report states that Inter have already informally required about the 53-year-old’s availability in the summer while AS Roma are expected to consider making a move for the Italian if Jose Mourinho departs.

It is explained that while AC Milan have also previously shown interest, Conte could be deemed as ‘too demanding’ for the Rossoneri.

Finally, Juventus are also said to be keen on rehiring the Tottenham head coach but it is posited that the current financial scandal they are embroiled in, makes a return unlikely.

Spurs Web Opinion

Conte is obviously going to have many options to choose from if he does decide to return to Italy.

I personally do not think the 53-year-old will be as exhilarated professionally by the possibility of winning another Serie A title compared to competing with the best managers in the world in the Premier League.

However, having said that, he might want to return to Italy for personal reasons, which is completely understandable.
