Report names four Man Utd men Spurs could ask for in Winks swap deal

The Daily Express have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur could demand one of a number of Manchester United players in a swap deal for Harry Winks this summer.

Winks was a bit-part player for the vast majority of the 2020/21 campaign and the midfielder has been linked with an exit from Spurs.

MEN reported earlier this week that Manchester United are eyeing a move for the 25-year-old, with Ole Gunnar Solksjaer being keen to bolster his central midfield options.

The Express have now reiterated the same, revealing that the Red Devils could target the Tottenham midfielder as Solksjaer is keen on upgrading on Fred and Scott McTominay.

However, the report adds that Winks is still thought of highly at Spurs and that the North Londoners are unlikely to let him go easily.

It is asserted that Tottenham could demand a player or two in return if United do come in for the England international.

Diogo Dalot, Eric Bailly, Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial are named as four players that Spurs could be willing to consider in exchange for Winks.

Spurs Web Opinion

I do expect there to be a lot more swap deals this summer than any other transfer window in the past since not many clubs around Europe have money to spend. However, I do not expect us to get involved in any swaps as Daniel Levy tends to negotiate deals separately in order to get the best price.
