Report names four manager candidates for Spurs after Conte talks collapse

The Daily Express have named Nuno Espirito Santo, Graham Potter, Zinedine Zidane and Mauricio Pochettino as four potential candidates to be the next Spurs manager following a breakdown in talks between the club and Antonio Conte.

Tottenham have already suffered a few blows in their pursuit of a new manager, with Julian Nagelsmann rejecting the club’s approach in favour of a move to Bayern Munich and Brendan Rodgers revealing his desire to continue with his project at Leicester.

Earlier this week, Spurs seemingly admitted defeat in their efforts to bring Mauricio Pochettino back to the club as Paris Saint-Germain stood firm.

With talks now having broken down with Conte, it remains to be seen what Tottenham’s next move will be.

Alasdair Gold (at 9:06 in his latest YouTube video) has suggested that Spurs are unlikely to return for Pochettino, with Fabio Paratici potentially having his own list of managerial targets.

PA Sport’s Jonathan Veal has also claimed that it would be difficult for the Lilywhites to reignite their interest in the PSG boss.

However, The Express have suggested that a return to Spurs remains on the card for Pochettino, while Potter, Nuno and Zidane could also be attractive options for Daniel Levy to pursue.
