Report names four players Poch could sign for free next week

Tottenham Hotspur have always been ambitious but financially restricted under Pochettino, with the club not having signed a single player over the last 18-months.

While they have been linked with a host of big names from across Europe this transfer window, they have yet to land a new star.

However, if Pochettino does end up landing the likes of Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon for around £63m (Sky Sports), and Lo Celso from Real Betis for around £70m (Sky Sports), there probably won’t be much left in the budget for squad players.

The Express have now named four free agents who will become available at the end of this month and could provide cost-efficient back up for Tottenham next season.

The report names:

Adrien Rabiot – The Frenchman is set to leave PSG on a free after a falling-out last season, but the 24-year-old is expected to ask for at least £150,000 a week in wages.

Max Kruse – A 31-year-old, experienced and versatile forward, Max Kruse could be utilised as a back-up to Harry Kane next season. Bayern Munich and Liverpool are also said to be interested.

Mario Balotelli – Set to leave Marseille in the coming week, Balotelli has always seemed more trouble than he is worth.

Enock Kwateng – The 22-year-old enjoyed a great season for Nantes last time out, and can play as a central defender as well as his natural right-back.

Spurs Web Opinion:

If his wages are not through the roof and his attitude is correct, then Rabiot would be a great free signing for Spurs, in my opinion. Max Kruse seems like a good utility player, but I would prefer to bring a youngster in or promote an academy star. Balotelli is a no on so many levels. I don’t know much about Kwateng, but from what I have read, he could be an absolute bargain.
