Report names six strikers on Tottenham’s radar ahead of the summer window

Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has named six strikers that Tottenham Hotspur have their eye on ahead of the summer transfer window.

Harry Kane looks increasingly likely to stay at Spurs next season after Manchester City completed the signing of Erling Haaland.

However, previous reports have indicated that Antonio Conte is keen to bring another big-name striker to Tottenham this summer to supplement the England captain (The Mirror).

Gold has now backed this up, stating that the North Londoners will look to add another striker to the squad to help them compete on multiple fronts next season.

The journalist reveals the Lilywhites have long held an interest in Dominic Calvert-Lewin but acknowledges the Everton star would not want to move to a club where he is not a guaranteed starter.

Gabriel Jesus is also said to be on Spurs’ wishlist, with the club thought to be facing competition from their North London rivals Arsenal for the Manchester City striker, and the Gunners are said to be the favourites to land the Brazilian.

Gold adds that Tottenham also have their eyes on Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, Real Sociedad’s Alexander Isak, Benfica’s Darwin Nunez and Bayer Leverkusen’s Patrick Schick.

Other than Gabriel Jesus, all the names listed here are out-and-out centre-forwards. None of them, with the possible exception of Schick, would probably be open to coming to Spurs and serving as Kane’s backup, which is going to be our main challenge in singing a top quality striker this summer.
