Although the 16-year-old is yet to make his senior debut, The Mirror state that he has notched 18 goals in his last 10 youth games, including four separate hat-tricks.

The report reveals that several top-flight clubs, including Spurs, have been alerted by the striker’s displays this season, with the North London club said to be facing competition from the likes of Liverpool, Newcastle United and Manchester United for the youngster’s signature.

The Mirror add that Preston feel they are in a ‘strong position’ with Rodriguez-Gentile since he has signed for the club on a scholarship, with the publication suggesting that Ryan Lowe could integrate the Argentine into his first-team plans soon.

If Rodriguez-Gentile maintains the same level of performance over the next few months, there could be a bidding war for the youngster in the summer. One would certainly expect Spurs to be involved, given Paratici’s efforts to stock up the club’s academy with top talent.
