Report: Napoli want to sign Tottenham player on loan this month

Foot Mercato journalist Santi Anona has revealed that Napoli have expressed interest in signing Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.

Since Ndombele was booed off by Spurs fans in their 3-1 win over Morecambe on Sunday, multiple sources have reported that he could be on his way out of North London.

Fabrizio Romano has said that Spurs are willing to consider loaning the midfielder out while Sky Sports’ Dharmesh Sheth has said the 25-year-old could be on his way to Spain or Italy if Tottenham find a suitable buyer for him.

Sources have indicated that former Spurs boss Jose Mourinho is keen on reuniting with Ndombele at AS Roma and has spoken to the Frenchman about a possible move to the Stadio Olimpico this month.

Auona has now taken to social media to reveal that another Italian club have entered the race for the Tottenham man in the form of Napoli.

The journalist revealed that Luciano Spalletti’s side are looking to sign Ndombele on loan and that Spurs are open to letting the former Lyon man leave.

The only way Spurs will be able to find a buyer for Ndombele in the summer who is willing to match his salary and pay a decent fee for him, is if the 25-year-old impresses in the second half of the season. That is why I expect the North London club to sanction a loan move for the midfielder before the end of the month.
