Report: Ndombele keen to quit Tottenham with Barcelona plotting bid to sign him

Tottenham Hotspur broke their transfer record when they brought in Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon last summer after reaching the 2019 Champions League Final.

Ndombele had impressed during the same competition for Lyon, as well as shining in Ligue 1 as a powerful yet skilful central midfield man.

The Frenchman’s Tottenham career started off perfectly with a goal on his debut against Aston Villa, which he followed up with an assist in his second game (TransferMarkt).

Ndombele has gone on to feature 27 times for Spurs this season, scoring two and setting up four. However, he has only ever played 90 minutes once in the Premier League under Mourinho.

TransferMarkt report that Ndombele’s current market value is £58.5m, with Spurs having paid £54m for him last summer.

However, could Tanguy leave after just one season in North London? Mundo Deportivo claim that Barcelona are eyeing a shock move for the Frenchman, with Ndombele keen on moving due to his poor relationship with Mourinho.
