Report: Ndombele’s entourage pushing him towards Spurs exit – Mourinho opposed

Although Jose Mourinho is desperate to help Tanguy Ndombele turn his Tottenham career around, there is a feeling that those close to the player are pushing him to leave the club, according to a report from Football.London.

Ndombele has flattered to deceive in his first season at North London but has shown enough glimpses of his talent that some Spurs fans are convinced he can come good next season.

The Mirror reported on Friday that Tottenham had no intention of letting the midfielder leave despite apparent interest from Barcelona, while adding that Jose Mourinho was committed to helping Ndombele reach his best level in North London.

A report from Football.London has now reiterated Mourinho’s commitment to helping the 23-year-old maximise his potential and asserts that the Spurs boss believes the former Lyon man could be world-class one day.

However, it is claimed that the midfielder’s success would depend on how badly he wants to put things right at Spurs and there are suggestions that he may not be fully committed to turning his fortunes around.

It is also claimed that the midfielder’s entourage is trying to push him towards the exit door by leaking reports to the media and drumming up interest.

Spurs Web Opinion

I can understand why so many Spurs fans are desperate for Ndombele to stay given the undoubted potential that he has. However, he seems to have an attitude problem which was also an issue at his previous clubs. The Frenchman seems like a laid back character and doesn’t have the intensity or desire that is required to become a top player at this level.
