Report: New Bayern Munich bid is ‘likely’ – Harry Kane has set strict deadline

The Telegraph have reported that Bayern Munich are now ‘likely’ to submit a fresh bid for Harry Kane in the coming days after their previous offer was rejected by Spurs.

However, Harry Kane himself will allegedly walk away from the idea of leaving his boyhood club if a deal is not agreed by the time the new Premier League season kicks off.

The German club are now said to be ‘weighing up their options’ and are considering one last bid, even though their previous offer was also supposed to be the final one.

Bayern Munich want any deal to be done as soon as possible so Kane would be able to feature at the start of their season, while Spurs play Brentford in the Premier League on Sunday.

Kane allegedly believes it would be unfair on Postecoglou, Tottenham, the Spurs fans, and his own family if he left the club after the season kicked off, meaning Bayern have just five days left.

Levy may have one more big Kane decision to make

The report mentions that Daniel Levy may be under pressure to make a quick decision if another bid does come in, after the Spurs chairman made Bayern wait before rejecting the last offer.

That Bayern bid reportedly fell £25m short of Tottenham’s valuation, meaning there is a big bridge to gap in not a lot of time for the Bundesliga giants.

Spurs Web Opinion:

You can never say never in football. For all we know, Bayern could submit a £100m bid tomorrow. However, it seems unlikely that they would fall £25m short only to offer the full valuation with days left until the season kicks off. Hopefully, it could be a case of too little, too late.
