Report: New player is set to have medical at Tottenham on Thursday

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Manor Solomon will complete a medical with Tottenham on Thursday before sealing a switch to the Lilywhites.

Solomon spent the 2022-23 season on loan at Fulham from Shakhtar Donetsk after FIFA ruled that foreign players in Ukraine could suspend their contracts following Russia’s invasion of the country.

Although the winger did not establish himself as a regular starter for Marco Silva’s team, he delivered plenty of impressive performances as an impact substitute, even scoring in five straight games between February and March.

It was Romano who first broke the news on Sunday that Solomon had agreed personal terms with Tottenham ahead of a potential switch to N17.

The journalist explained that if all goes to plan with respect to FIFA’s ruling on the players in Ukraine, the 23-year-old would join Ange Postecoglou’s side on a free transfer.

Solomon’s Spurs medical scheduled for Thursday

Romano has now taken to social media to reveal that Solomon is expected to have his medical tests at Hotspur Way on Thursday before signing on the dotted line this week.

This is quite an astute signing as Solomon would be able to cover for both flanks and would be an excellent impact substitute to bring on against tired legs.

The 23-year-old also has the energy to press incessantly off the ball and is certainly an upgrade over Lucas Moura.
