Report: New Tottenham player joins Ben Davies on the injury table

Football London have revealed that Oliver Skipp will miss the friendly against Rangers this afternoon due to an injury.

The injury is not said to be related to the pelvic problem that kept Skipp out for so long last season, and is specifically described as a ‘minor’ issue.

Ben Davies remains out, as expected, after the ankle injury he picked up towards the end of the friendly against Sevilla in South Korea last week.

The report also reveals that none of the quartet who missed the South Korea tour have been reinstated into the squad, with Harry Winks, Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso, and Sergio Reguilon still seemingly surplus to requirements.

Joe Rodon, who also missed the flight to Korea, has returned to the squad after recovering from his illness and will be looking to get his first minutes of the season.

Fraser Forster, Yves Bissouma, Djed Spence, Ivan Perisic, and Clement Lenglet could all play a part against Rangers.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I hope Skipp and Davies can both make it back in time for the start of the season, as Conte will want to at least begin the campaign with a full complement of stars to choose from. If not, Clement Lenglet may have to prove himself sooner rather than later.
