Tottenham Hotspur could be set to face competition from Newcastle United for Aurelien Tchouameni, according to Sport Media Set.
The report claims the Monaco midfielder has caught the attention of the Magpies after an impressive start to the season with the Ligue 1 outfit.
The defensive-midfielder has become a key figure for the Monaco side, making 65 appearances in all competitions following his move from Bordeaux less than two years ago (transfermarkt).
Calciomercato claimed last month that Spurs held an interest in Tchouameni, 21 with Monaco hoping to pocket £35million.
However, if the latest report from Sport Media Set is to be believed, it appears Paratici and co are not the only ones looking at the Ligue 1 star.

Tottenham raided French football during the summer for one of their most promising defensive midfielders when they signed Pape Matar Sarr, so it comes as no real surprise that the club could have their tabs on Tchouameni also.
The big problem for Spurs could be Newcastle’s newfound wealth following the Saudi-backed takeover.
