Report: Nuno Espirito Santo wants to bring Wolves man with him to Spurs

Football Insider have reported that Nuno Espirito Santo wants to sign Conor Coady from Wolves if he becomes the new Tottenham head coach this summer.

It is claimed that the Portuguese manager has mentioned Coady during talks with the Tottenham hierarchy, which apparently comes from a Spurs source.

The 28-year-old centre back was also reportedly discussed with Everton when Nuno spoke to them earlier in the summer.

It is said that Nuno saw Coady as his ‘lieutenant at the back for Wolves during his time there and he would like to bring that leadership to North London.

Football Insider also reported this week that Tottenham had agreed salary terms with Nuno during talks over the former Wolves man potentially joining as the club’s new boss.

It is also said that Wolves need to sell players before they can buy this summer.

Spurs Web Opinion:

If Tottenham do want to play a three-at-the-back next season, then Coady would be a good signing. However, the English tax and the fact that he is a senior Wolves star would likely make him too expensive. For his quality, Spurs could scout someone abroad for half the price.
