Report: Nuno on the verge of being sacked after Levy is left ‘furious’

Nuno Espirito Santo is on the verge of being sacked as head coach of Tottenham Hotspur, according to The Telegraph.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is reported to have been left furious by the manner of yesterday’s 3-0 defeat against Manchester United and has been left concerned over the manner of performances and results since the Portuguese succeeded Jose Mourinho in June.

Talks have been taking place among the Spurs hierarchy earlier on Sunday and it has not been ruled out that a decision could be made imminently over the former Wolves coaches’ future.

The report claims that club insiders believe it is simply a matter of time before the 47-year-old receives his marching orders and is dismissed after a four-month stint at the North London outfit.

Nuno is said to have been close to being sacked following the defeats to Crystal Palace, Chelsea and Arsenal, only for the victory against Aston Villa to buy him some time.
