Report: Nuno under sack pressure after creating ‘chasm’ in squad and angering players

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Nuno Espirito Santo is facing the axe according to a report from The Sun.

Nuno has endured a rough start to life in North London, with Spurs lacking consistency so far this season. The Lilywhites have struggled to create chances in many of their matches while their defensive organisation has also come under scrutiny.

The Sun have claimed that Nuno has now put himself under pressure by leaving the eleven players who played against Newcastle last week in London for their trip to Holland.

The report reveals that the players who featured in the Europa Conference League clash against Vitesse Arnhem are ‘seriously angered’ by the Portuguese coach’s decision.

It is explained that those players headed into the Conference League clash knowing they had no chance of being in the starting eleven against West Ham on Sunday irrespective of how they played.

The decision is thus said to have created ‘a needless chasm’ in his squad.
