Report: Nuno was made ‘furious’ in final training session before Arsenal match

The Sun have reported that Tottenham head coach, Nuno Espirito Santo, was left ‘furious’ by the club’s final training session before the North London Derby against Arsenal.

The former Wolves boss was likely unhappy with the match itself too, as Spurs essentially dropped three points within the first 35 minutes of play.

Arsenal raced into a 3-0 lead thanks to goals from Smith-Rowe, Aubameyang, and Saka, with Spurs only managing a conciliation striker in the second 45 from Heung-min Son.

In their final training session ahead of the NLD, Nuno was reportedly angry at his team’s inability to adapt to the tactics he wanted to put in place. This included the players consistently giving the ball away.

The Sun also reported that Nuno is at ‘rock bottom’ with some of his players and remains ‘cold and unapproachable’ with them.

If the report is true, these could be worrying signs for Tottenham fans and chairman Daniel Levy, just six games into the Premier League season.

Spurs Web Opinion:

It certainly feels as though things are not right. The players don’t look like they are or ever have been fighting from the manager, which is rare to see from day one. I want to see a change of tactics from Nuno to get the fans, players, and Levy on board.
