Report: Nuno’s pre-season plans at Spurs disrupted by Kane’s antics

The Times have claimed Nuno Espirito Santo’s pre-season plans have been disrupted by Harry Kane’s decision not to show up for training.

Kane has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester City over the past few months but Tottenham have continued to maintain the striker is not for sale.

Nuno Espirito Santo remarked in his first press conference as Tottenham head coach last month that the England captain remains a Spurs player and he had no doubts over his future.

However, things took a sharp turn on Monday when it emerged Kane had not shown up at Hotspur Way following his summer break in an effort to force a move away from the club.

It has since been revealed that the 28-year-old is expected back at the training ground later this week and feels the situation has been blown out of proportion.

According to The Times, Kane’s actions have proven to be a setback for Nuno’s plans.

The report explains that the Portuguese coach was hoping to have a conversation with the England captain about his future when he returned to the club this week.

It is stated that Nuno’s pre-season programme is now in danger of being thrown into disarray.

One has to feel for Nuno in all of this. Kane’s actions show complete disrespect to the Portuguese coach. One would have at least expected the striker to meet with the 47-year-old and let him know face-to-face that he does not want to stay.
