Report offers update on Serge Aurier to AC Milan saga as Italian side make decision

There has been yet another twist in the Serge Aurier to AC Milan transfer saga, a story that has been running for the majority of the transfer window.

Tuttosport (print edition 01/09/20) now report that the Italian club are not advancing towards a deal with Tottenham for the right-back, as talks have now frozen (via Milan News).

AC Milan are apparently wanting to pay around $15m for the right-back, while Spurs are looking for a figure closer to €20m.

However, the report does add that, while Milan have ‘let go’ of Aurier for now, he could become a target for them again in the coming weeks.

This followed a report from Fabrizio Romano at the weekend which stated that AC Milan were still interested in Aurier, despite being apart from Tottenham on his valuation.

It was also previously reported that both Bayer Leverkusen and Monaco were both interested in Aurier’s signature this summer (Guardian).

Aurier played a career-best 42 games for Tottenham last season and was the firm favourite right-back under Jose Mourinho (Wikipedia).
