Report offers update on Troy Parrott’s contract situation and potential loan move

Tottenham Hotspur youngster, Troy Parrott, has under 18-months left on his current contract in North London with the Lilywhites.

As such a highly-rated teenage talent, Spurs will be keen to remedy such a situation in the near future. In fact, the Evening Standard claim that Tottenham and Parrott are still set to agree on a new deal after the player turns 18 on February 4.

Parrott has barely been used by Jose Mourinho as of yet, but has made his full Spurs debut, Premier League debut, Republic of Ireland U21 debut, and Republic of Ireland debut all this season.

The striker even managed three goals in two games for the Ireland U21 side, as well as an assist for the senior team in a friendly.

The Standard have also added Sheffield Wednesday to the list of English sides that are interested in taking the youngster on loan for the rest of the season, along with Charlton and QPR.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I want to see Parrott stay and make the bench every week, slowly building up his experience and game time much like Rashford did at United. However, if Mourinho is not going to do that then a new contract and loan is the next option.
