Report: On-loan academy starlet returns to Spurs due to injury

Football London have reported that on-loan Spurs starlet Malachi Fagan-Walcott, has returned to the club due to injury this week.

Fagan-Walcott was out on loan at Scottish Championship side, Dundee, but the 19-year-old’s loan has come to an early end due to yet another injury problem.

This comes after the central defender missed months of last season after picking up a knee injury and eventually requiring surgery.

Spurs fans will likely remember that Jose Mourinho handed the defender his debut last season as a 17-year-old in the Champions League against RB Leipzig.

While that seemed to be the start of his professional career, Fagan-Walcott has largely stalled since that day, with injuries hampering his progress.

The youngster managed just two starts for Dundee during his spell with the Scottish second-tier side before being forced off with an injury 64 minutes into the game against Arbroath last Saturday.

The Dundee manager revealed that the injury was ‘pretty severe’ after Fagan-Walcott had a scan and added that the youngster would now return to Tottenham (Evening Telegraph).
