Report: One of Spurs’ alleged top manager targets is in talks with Saudi Arabian club

SportItalia journalist Rudy Galetti has revealed that Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal have now sent an offer to Tottenham managerial target, Luis Enrique.

Enrique, who has been without work since parting ways with Spain after last year’s World Cup, is one of the managers who has been heavily linked with the Tottenham hot seat over the last couple of months.

In fact, some reports over recent weeks have even insisted that he is one of Spurs’ top targets alongside Julian Nagelsmann (CalcioMercato).

It has been confirmed by several outlets, including 90 min, that Tottenham have already spoken to Enrique about their managerial vacancy, with the Spaniard allegedly seeking clarity on the club’s search for a new director following Fabio Paratici’s exit.

If Galtetti’s latest update is to be believed, the former Barcelona boss has now been offered the Al Hilal job and negotiations between the parties are ‘well underway’.

The journalist adds that the Saudi Arabian club have identified the 53-year-old as their top target to replace Ramon Diaz following their loss in the AFC Champions League final.

While Al Hilal would be able to offer Enrique a lucrative contract, the Spaniard would not take it if he has ambitions of working at the top level.

If he is seriously considering accepting the job, that is probably a sign does he does not think Tottenham are likely to send him an offer.
