Report: One Spurs fan travelled 4500 miles just to see Burnley game postponed

One Tottenham fan travelled over 4,500 miles to be at Turf Moor this afternoon to watch Spurs against Burnley, only to find the match was postponed.

The Spurs team, along with Antonio Conte, arrived at the stadium and the starting XI was even announced before the match was called off, just 50 minutes before kick-off.

Of course, this meant that thousands of Burnley supporters had already arrived at the ground, along with those Spurs fans who made the four-hour trip from London.

However, one person seems to be head and shoulders above the rest in terms of distance travelled, with Twitter user @KeN17 coming all the way from Dallas, over 4,500 miles away.

At least he managed to see some of the beautiful sights of Burnley and spend time with friends during his trip to the UK, but it was far from an ideal scenario.

It remains to be seen when the fixture will be rearranged for.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Poor guy. I have also travelled for a game only to realise it had been postponed. I only lived a couple of hours from the stadium, although it was supposed to be my first ever game as a kid and I couldn’t make the postponed date the next day. I was gutted.
