Report: Only one club have registered ‘genuine interest’ in Tanguy Ndombele

Tottenham Hotspur are currently trying to find a buyer for Tanguy Ndombele ahead of the transfer window closing, according to The Telegraph.

The report claims that only Bayern Munich have registered a genuine interest in the French international, who arrived in North London for a club-record fee of £63million from Lyon in July 2019 (Sky Sports).

Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo has not named the midfielder in his squad for the opening four fixtures of the new campaign and also did not feature for a single minute of pre-season.

The Athletic previously claimed that the 24-year-old is open to leaving the club this summer and would favour a move to one of the bigger clubs in either Spain or Germany.

Tottenham are now prepared to cut their losses on Ndombele, if they can find a permanent deal or a club who are prepared to take him on loan with the guarantee of a permanent transfer.

SpursWeb Opinion

Ndombele is something of an enigma, his talent and ability is clear to see, however he has never really settled in North London.

The situation is extremely disappointing considering the hype and expectaction we all had for Ndombele. The reality is that he isn’t right for the club and taking his significant wages off the balance sheet will help to focus on other targets.
