Report: Out of contract Spurs player receives approach

There has still been no official confirmation to date from Tottenham Hotspur regarding the future of Fernando Llorente.

The Spaniard’s contract expired at the end of June following the conclusion of the two-year deal he signed when he moved to North London from Swansea City in 2017 (Sky Sports).

While Spurs confirmed the departure of Michel Vorm on the club’s official website, fans have been left to make their own mind up.

Sky Italia reporter Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed that the 34-year-old is the subject of interest from Fiorentina.

Llorente has previously played in Serie A when he played for Juventus between 2013-2015.

Di Marzio also suggests that an approach from Tottenham to offer him a new one-year contract is not against the realms of impossibility.

Llorente performed admirably towards the end of the season following Harry Kane’s ankle injury and made key contributions in our path to the Champions League final with his goal against Manchester City and impressive cameo in the second leg of the semi final against Ajax.
