Report: Out of favour Spurs midfielder attracting interest from a number of clubs

Tottenham midfielder Victor Wanyama is reportedly attracting interest from a number of clubs across Europe.

Turkish publication Takvim (as relayed by the Daily Record) claim that the 28-year-old midfielder is one of Galatasaray’s main targets this month.

Galatasaray coach Fatih Terim has reportedly identified the Kenyan international as the perfect midfield enforcer and is said to be keen on landing him in this window.

The midfielder is also reportedly attracting interest from Norwich, Aston Villa and AC Milan.

Celtic boss Neil Lennon has already admitted that although he would like to bring the 28-year-old back to Celtic Park but a deal is unlikely due to financial reasons (The Herald).

Wanyama came close to an exit in the summer (Football Insider) but a move to Club Brugge failed to materialise for the former Southampton man.

He has barely featured for the Lilywhites so far this campaign but with considerable interest reported in the midfielder, it looks like he might be on his way out of North London this month.

It is a shame that Wanyama never fully recovered from his injury troubles as he was quite brilliant in his first season at the club. If not for his injury problems, he could have gone on to establish himself as one of the mainstays in our midfielder. Hopefully, we can start a bidding war for him and push his price up.
