Report outlines fee Tottenham are willing to offer for Weston McKennie

According to Tuttosport (24/10/22 – as relayed by Calciomercato.it), Tottenham Hotspur are willing to offer €30m (£26.1m) to Juventus for Weston McKennie.

The speculation linking McKennie with a move to Tottenham has gone into hyperdrive over the last few weeks.

Calciomercato were the first to report earlier this month that Fabio Paraitici could look to raid his former club for the midfielder in January.

This was followed up by a report in Il Bianconero, who claimed that Juventus are ready to cash in on the USA international amidst ‘strong’ interest from Tottenham.

Tuttosport have now backed up that claim, explaining that the Old Lady have decided to get rid of McKennie and hang on to Adrien Rabiot, mainly because they anticipate that the former will fetch a bigger fee.

The report adds that Spurs are already ‘moving’ for the 24-year-old and that the North London club would be ready to offer around €30m (£26.1m), which is the sort of fee that Juve are after.

Most of these reports regarding Tottenham’s interest in McKennie seem to be coming from Italian outlets rather than journalists close to Spurs. So, we will have to wait and see if the club’s interest in the American is concrete or if he is just one of several midfielders on the radars of Conte and Paratici.
